Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Inpatient Surgical Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: C-section experience required. Flexibility with changing assignments during the shift. Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse for an inpatient surgical specialty. The role involves monitoring patients and providing care on a medical surgical unit. The nurse will be expected to care for patients with various common diagnoses. The nurse will float to different departments as needed, including orthopedic, neuro, and oncology units. The nurse will maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6. Charge nurse duties may be required on all units. CNA support is available, typically with a 1:8 to 1:10 ratio. The position includes rotating holidays and every other weekend shifts. The nursing staff will utilize an EMR charting system. Emergency response teams are available 24/7. Experience with BIPAP and CPAP machines is preferred. The candidate must demonstrate strong collaborative skills in a team environment. Team members will have access to pharmacy services around the clock. Candidates should be prepared for on-call duties due to low census. All shifts will start at 0645 and last for 12 hours.
