Scispot, a Y Combinator startup, seeks a passionate and motivated Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with a working knowledge of digital marketing principles, social media management, and content creation. As a Marketing Specialist, you will enhance our brand's online presence and drive growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Social Media Accounts

• Oversee and manage Scispot's social media accounts with consistent and engaging content.
• Engage with followers and respond to comments and messages to build community.

Content Creation and Collaboration

• Write compelling content for blog posts, PR, social media, and other marketing materials.
• Design eye-catching graphics using Canva.
• Collaborate with the team to develop creative marketing ideas.

Email Marketing

• Develop and manage email marketing campaigns, including newsletters and promotional emails.
• Analyze email campaign performance and implement improvements.

Digital Marketing Campaigns

• Assist in creating and managing digital marketing campaigns across various platforms.
• Track and analyze campaign performance to optimize results.

Market Trends

• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on the latest trends and strategies.

Collaborative Efforts

• Work closely with product and sales teams to ensure cohesive marketing strategies.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on marketing strategy.

Skills Required

• Understanding of digital marketing principles and tools.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel for data analysis.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices.

Qualifications

• Graduation is preferred, but education is no barrier for the right candidate.
• Relevant experience in B2B SaaS marketing is preferred.
• Ability to communicate and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting information and making decisions.

Other Preferred Requirements

• High-speed internet connection and laptop (role is 100% remote).
• Ability to work US East Coast hours (5 pm to 2 am Indian time).
