What You Will Do Senior engineer in Advanced Concepts reporting to the Manager of Advanced Concepts. Support the Advanced Concepts group in discovery, optimization, and analysis of new commercial and military engine concepts. Invent, size, optimize and analyze thermal management systems to support novel thermodynamic cycles and engine concepts. Work across commercial and military organizations to make novel discoveries addressing 21st-century challenges. Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s degree in engineering Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience; or a Masters degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience; or a Ph.D. in a relevant field Fundamental knowledge of heat transfer; heat exchanger sizing and technology; and thermal management systems U.S. citizenship is required Qualifications We Prefer Advanced degree (Engineering Masters or Ph.D.) Familiarity with commercial and/or military engine businesses Aero engine durability experience and knowledge of aero engine durability technologies Fundamental knowledge of optimization techniques and multi-disciplinary design optimization (MDO) Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance What We Offer Benefits Relocation Package What is my role type? The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. RTX considers multiple factors when extending an offer, including role, responsibilities, experience, location, education, and key skills.
