Registered Nurse, Critical Care Float Pool, 24 Hours, Nights Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Hiring Range: $37.51 - $81.95 Please note that the final offer may vary within this range based on a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Schedule Details: Holidays - Every Third Holiday, Sunday through Saturday, Weekends - Every Third Weekend Scheduled Hours: 1845-0715 Shift: 3 - Night Shift, 12 Hours (United States of America) Hours: 24 Cost Center: 10010 - 0158 Critical Care Float Pool Union: MNA-Memorial/Hahnemann This position may have a signing bonus available; a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process. $6,000 Sign-on Bonus eligible for external new hires to the UMMH system. Major Responsibilities Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population. Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure. Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning. Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within assigned clinical setting. Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level. Documents patient care according to standard procedure. Develops, implements/coordinates and documents Education Plan for patient/family/ significant other. Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other health care providers. Administers medications, performs treatments, therapies and operates equipment according to policy and procedure. Assists physician with treatment and procedures and special tests as required or directed. Participates in and supports Nursing Governance activities. Assumes responsibility for professional growth. Assists in education and development of staff. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrates the use of quality improvement in daily operations. Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives. Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed. Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations. Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements. Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance. Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed. All responsibilities are essential job functions. II. Position Qualifications License/Certification/Education Required: Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration. BLS is a requirement for every RN unless advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies. Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred. Experience/Skills Required: Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements. III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions Work is considered medium. Position requires work indoors in a patient care environment. Schedule Details 2 - 12 hour night shifts per week, 7pm-7:30am, Every 3rd weekend and holiday.
