This is NOT a PACU position - this is a Med-Surg need

28-bed unit caring for post-operative surgical patients. Nurses are trained to read telemetry strips and take care of cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lasix, Insulin, etc. We have state-of-the-art bedside monitors in every patient room to facilitate the care of the patients.

RequirementDescription:

• 2 years current MS, PACU and/or post operative care experience in Hospital setting - [Required]
• Tele Strip reading experience - [Required]
• NO 1st time travelers, must have completed a travel contract within previous 12 mos - [Required]
• EPIC experience - [Required]
• Surgical care experience with Patient Types (see Unit information) - [Required]
• Experience with PCA's, epidurals, chest tubes, CBIs - [Required]

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:

• Work history/resume/employment history must have 24 months of current MS/Medical Surgical/Med Surg experience [required]
• Skills Checklist must be specific to the discipline listed on the job (Medical Surgical, Medical Surgical/Telemetry) – [required]
• Nursy's must state Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate at time of submission – [required] [document]
• Professional Reference/Reference Check - charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation/reference from within 24 months of today's date [preferred]

• AHA/ American Heart Association or ARC/client BLS, basic life support – [required]
