Corporate Staff Accountant

Our client, a high-growth public company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its expanding accounting organization. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced accounting leadership and contribute across multiple areas of the accounting function, including month-end close, financial reporting support, reconciliations, accruals, and process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process Support general ledger accounting activities, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis Assist with payroll-related accounting and cash management activities Support external audit requests and financial reporting requirements Participate in ongoing process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 1-3 years of accounting experience Public accounting experience strongly preferred Audit or assurance experience highly desirable CPA eligible or actively pursuing CPA certification is a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities Preferred Backgrounds Audit Associate Assurance Associate Staff Accountant Corporate Accountant General Ledger Accountant Accounting Analyst What We're Looking For Successful candidates will demonstrate intellectual curiosity, initiative, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative and evolving environment.
