Staff Accountant

Pay: $60K-$75K/Year | Location: 14055 Cedar Rd., South Euclid, OH 44118 | Schedule: M-F 9-5 Who we are At NewVista, the mission is to inspire hope and deliver holistic care to those in need of behavioral health services and addiction services in a safe and healing environment. Our team members work for our patients to help aide them in the recovery and treatment process to restore a better quality life . The Role Itself Responsible for ensuring timely month end close processing and financial statement review and distribution. Reviews bi-weekly labor reports, analyzes variances, and distributes to management. Performs monthly bank account reconciliations and various balance sheet account reconciliations. Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations and work papers for quarterly balance sheet reviews by accounting management. Other accounting projects and functions as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Work Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred. Healthcare accounting experience preferred. Multi-entity experience Experience with Sage Intacct strongly preferred. Other Requirements Must have the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Excellent Excel skills are required. Superior organizational skills, strong task management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. Also important are excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external customers, and the ability to work in a team oriented environment. A positive attitude, with a high degree of ethics and personal integrity, as well as confidentiality, are traits needed to be successful in this role. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Teamwork, flexibility needed to fulfill job responsibilities, adapting to changes in work environment and accepting supervisory feedback.
