Experienced Fire Alarm Inspector

Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Simplex Fire Alarm Systems and similar products. Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for operation of low voltage equipment. Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding using communication devices (laptop computers and/or hard copy). Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule. Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via mobile device. Complete assigned inspections on time. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Security Systems experience. Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company requirements. High School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of the Inspector Entrée Course (Electrical or Sprinkler). Achieve NICET Level I certification after 1 year on the job. Aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary small repairs. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Physical ability to carry and move equipment and tools up to 50‑70 lbs.; work in unusual positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment up to 40 ft., working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. Ability to work flexible hours, including on occasion. High level of customer service, work well with others, self‑starter capable of working with supervision. Adherence to, implementation of, and ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times. Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, quick learner. Preferred: Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage. 1‑3 years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems. NICET certification. Compensation and Benefits Hiring Hourly Range: $24.00 – $37.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
