Director, Enterprise and Data Center Field Services

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Enterprise and Data Center Field Services based in United States.

The Director will lead a large, geographically dispersed field services organization across the US and Canada.
This senior leadership role owns operational performance, financial results, customer satisfaction, and delivery excellence.
You will oversee services spanning enterprise infrastructure, data centers, networking, servers, storage, and advanced field engineering.
The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of service delivery, workforce planning, and critical escalations.
You will help evolve technical capabilities to meet changing customer needs, including AI infrastructure and emerging technologies.
Close collaboration with sales, client management, finance, workforce, vendor management, and operations teams will be essential.
The role offers significant influence over operational excellence, customer relationships, workforce development, and regional business growth.

Accountabilities:

• Lead US and Canada Enterprise and Data Center Field Services operations, ensuring consistent delivery excellence across infrastructure, data center, networking, server, storage, and advanced field engineering services.
• Drive achievement of operational, contractual, service-level, and customer satisfaction commitments.
• Lead the resolution of critical customer, operational, and business escalations.
• Own regional operational performance, including productivity, labor utilization, cost efficiency, and profitability.
• Partner with Finance and Operations to monitor performance through operational reviews, financial metrics, and performance dashboards.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve workforce effectiveness, service quality, cost efficiency, and overall customer outcomes while operating within budget.
• Lead a geographically distributed workforce of employees and subcontractors, ensuring appropriate staffing, resource allocation, and operational coverage.
• Develop technical workforce strategies aligned with future requirements in enterprise infrastructure, data center services, and emerging technologies.
• Drive leadership development, succession planning, employee engagement, and organizational capability across the region.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic customers and serve as an executive sponsor for key accounts and major escalations.
• Support Sales and Client Management teams with growth initiatives, solution development, customer planning, and operational readiness.
• Align regional technical capabilities with evolving customer requirements and market opportunities.
• Use operational metrics, analytics, and dashboards to establish accountability and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Provide executive-level reporting on regional performance, risks, opportunities, trends, and strategic priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience leading field services, managed services, infrastructure support, data center operations, or enterprise technology operations.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience managing large, geographically dispersed service delivery organizations.
• Proven accountability for operational financial performance, workforce management, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Experience managing mixed delivery models involving both employees and subcontractors.
• Demonstrated success supporting strategic enterprise accounts and building relationships with executive-level customers.
• Strong domain expertise in enterprise infrastructure support operations, with experience in one or more of the following areas: data center operations, server and storage support, enterprise infrastructure services, network infrastructure support, critical facility technologies, or advanced field engineering services.
• Strong operational and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret performance metrics and translate data into business decisions.
• Demonstrated workforce planning, resource allocation, leadership development, and succession planning capabilities.
• Strong customer-facing, communication, escalation management, and executive relationship-building skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Client Management, Finance, Operations, Workforce Management, Vendor Management, and other cross-functional teams.
• Strategic mindset combined with the ability to execute operational priorities and drive continuous improvement.
• Comfortable leading complex organizations in a fast-changing technology environment, including evolving AI infrastructure and emerging technologies.
• Must be eligible to obtain any required US Government authorizations for access to export-controlled commodities and technology.
