Manager Security Operations

Overview The Manager, Security Operations & Investigations will lead security operations for Mattel’s El Segundo, CA corporate campus. The role focuses on enhancing day‑to‑day security operations, personnel performance, and overall campus safety within a corporate environment. This position reports to the Director of Global Security and Compliance. Responsibilities Build and lead a high‑performing El Segundo security team, fostering collaboration, strong communication, integrity, and a positive culture. Provide strategic physical security guidance to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies, standards, and procedures. Lead crisis management strategy and program development while maintaining a high level of emergency preparedness and supporting business continuity efforts. Drive Global Security initiatives, including the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Serve as the primary point of contact for all physical security matters, including crisis response, events, investigations, and officer deployment. Oversee security planning and staffing for corporate events and public engagements. Partner with Global Security teams to share best practices and drive continuous improvement. Lead and manage security and safety investigations; collaborate cross‑functionally as needed. Oversee investigative resources to ensure timely, thorough case resolution and keep leadership informed of key developments. Support GSOC operations through SOP development and identification of tools to monitor and mitigate risks to people, assets, and facilities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective daily operations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications College Degree (BA) in a related field including Security, Finance, or Organizational Leadership. 6+ years’ experience in investigations, corporate security management, brand protection, with major corporation and/or law enforcement. Preferred certifications of CFE, PSP, and/or CPP. Interviewing experience. Experience in leading teams. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
