Locums - Dover and Milford, Delaware, GI Hospitalist Opening (IMLC Accepted) Reason for Coverage: Replacement locum Schedule: 24-hour call, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m. Providers must be able to cover the listed dates and include availability on presentation Coverage Dates & Shifts: Dover - 2026 (7:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m.): 10/22/26 11/2/26, 11/3/26, 11/4/26, 11/5/26, 11/27/26 12/21/26-12/27/26 Dover - 2027 (7:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m.): 3/19/27-3/21/27, 3/29/27-3/31/27 4/1/27-4/4/27, 4/16/27-4/21/27, 4/23/27-4/25/27 5/21/27-5/23/27, 5/28/27 6/11/27-6/13/27, 6/19/27-6/20/27 7/1/27-7/3/27 Milford - 2027 (7:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m.): 1/4/27-1/6/27 2/13/27-2/14/27 5/14/27-5/16/27 Coverage & Setting: Practice Setting: Inpatient Hospital 24-hour inpatient GI call coverage Coverage includes unassigned ED call, inpatient census, and consults Single physician coverage with no directly assigned PA/NP Dover: 317 inpatient beds Milford: 157 inpatient beds 24/7 anesthesia available Patient Volume & Responsibilities: Dover inpatient census: Approximately 10-25 patients Approximately 5-12 consults per day; average 8 Approximately 6 hours of inpatient rounding daily New ED/floor consults typically require approximately 6 hours, but may be up to 10 Approximately 8-10 calls from the ED for unassigned patients Milford: Approximately 4-6 new consults and 2-3 inpatient procedures per day Procedures Required: EGD Sigmoidoscopy Colonoscopy Bleeding control/hemostasis Biopsy Support & Systems: EMR: Epic 24/7 anesthesia Credentialing timeframe: 60+ days Requirements: Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible Gastroenterology Active Delaware license, IMLC, or standard licensing accepted BLS - Preferred What is great about Dover and Milford, Delaware: Dover and Milford offer a relaxed lifestyle with convenient access to Delaware's beautiful beaches and coastal communities.
