About this Role Under direction of the Manager II, the HPS II provides coordination and technical program assistance for planning, implementation and evaluation of health care policies related to the Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC)/Rural Health Center (RHC) program. The HPS II will serve as a highly skilled technical program consultant, providing policy and consultative advice on the most complex and sensitive policy matters within the Section. The HPS II will function as the Section expert advisor and specialist for FQHC/RHC reimbursement policy development. This advertisement has been posted as "Until Filled". Take the Health Program Specialist II exam. Desirable Qualifications Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, particularly in program oversight. Ability to research, critically analyze, and interpret information. Ability to adapt to changes in workload, prioritize workload, and shift focus as needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in composing financial reports, and other professional written communication. Proactive and autonomous approach to learning and development. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated office and residence subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions.
