Security Analyst

Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager II, Chief Information Officer and under the guidance of the Information Technology Specialist II, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) acts as the Security Analyst supporting the CISO by identifying, assessing, and managing risks related to infrastructure and security. The ITS I responsibilities include: conducting security assessments and risk evaluations across IT infrastructure; managing incident response, data privacy, security compliance, and risk mitigation activities; developing and maintaining security policies, standards, and procedures; investigating suspicious emails and potential security threats; supporting legal holds, data loss prevention, and computer forensics; collaborating with internal teams, management, and vendors to implement security solutions; delivering security training and awareness programs to staff; providing security guidance on IT contracts, projects and procurements.

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) hours each month. Working Conditions

  • Ability to review and edit written reports, utilize interdisciplinary teams effectively in the conduct of studies.
