Network Engineer

This is a sub-contractor position for a client of CDW's We're looking for an experienced Network Engineer to take ownership of a mature enterprise network environment. This is a hands-on role where you'll be the primary networking resource, responsible for keeping critical infrastructure running smoothly while helping drive modernization efforts across the organization. The environment includes Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba networking and wireless technologies (Cisco backgrounds are absolutely welcome), multiple WAN connections, and ongoing initiatives around telephony modernization and Microsoft Teams adoption. The ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing multiple hats, solving problems independently, and partnering with other IT teams when needed. Responsibilities Administer, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure including routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and firewall technologies. Serve as the primary networking resource for the organization. Manage and optimize WAN connectivity, ISP relationships, and network service providers. Troubleshoot complex network performance, connectivity, and security issues. Maintain and support Palo Alto firewall environments. Support Aruba networking and wireless environments (Cisco experience is also highly relevant). Participate in network upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and modernization initiatives. Assist with legacy telephony and Microsoft Teams voice migration efforts. Partner with infrastructure, systems, and security teams on enterprise technology initiatives. Participate in a low-volume on-call rotation for critical network issues. Required Qualifications 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience. Strong experience with enterprise routing and switching technologies. Experience administering Palo Alto firewalls. Experience supporting Aruba or Cisco network environments. Strong understanding of WAN technologies, routing protocols, ISP connectivity, and network architecture. Ability to work independently and take ownership of network operations. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Teams Voice or telephony migrations. Experience supporting wireless infrastructure and network security initiatives. Experience working in small to mid-sized IT organizations where engineers wear multiple hats. #J-18808-Ljbffr
