Accounts Payable Specialist
Nashville, TN Salary Range: Up to $28.85/hour ($60,000 annually), with flexibility for exceptional candidates Industry: Real Estate / Property Management
We are partnering with a growing organization to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role will support a busy accounting team by managing high-volume accounts payable functions, reconciliations, and month-end accounting activities in a multi-entity environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and interested in a long-term career opportunity.

Exposure to multiple entities and diverse accounting functions
Process high-volume invoices and vendor payments accurately and efficiently
Code expenses and maintain accounts payable records across multiple entities
Manage credit card transactions, expense reporting, and reconciliations
Process and track utility payments and related accounting activities
Perform bank reconciliations and assist with financial transaction reviews
Support month-end and year-end close activities
Assist with 1099 reporting, property tax support, and financial reporting
Collaborate with accounting leadership to provide general accounting support as needed
Generate reports and maintain accurate financial records
High-volume accounts payable processing experience
Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-location accounting environment
Strong reconciliation experience, including bank and expense reconciliations
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Experience using Ramp expense management software
NetSuite ERP experience
Real estate or property management industry experience
Experience with 1099 processing
Exposure to property tax accounting
General accounting experience beyond accounts payable
Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes
