About the Position

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in a 40-bed PACU unit, maintaining a 1:2 patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients on ventilators and other standard PACU equipment
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health record system
• Participate in a 6-week scheduling cycle, including 3 required call shifts per 6-week block
• Float within the peri-anesthesia service line, including Endoscopy, Pre-Op, and Phase II areas as needed
• Collaborate with unit support staff including PCTs and HUCs to ensure safe and efficient patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale experience
• Proficiency with ventilator monitoring
• Experience with Cerner documentation system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma care experience
• Pediatric patient care experience
• Familiarity with peri-anesthesia environments including Endoscopy and Pre-Op settings
