Task Manager - IT Operations

The Task Manager serves as the primary operational leader for specific Technical Instructions (TIs) and Task Orders under a Navy Information Technology contract. This role bridges the gap between executive program management, technical engineering teams, and the Navy Technical Point of Contact (TPOC). The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day IT deliverables, manage personnel allocation, track financial burn rates, and ensure compliance with strict Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity and architectural standards. Key Responsibilities Operations & Delivery{{:}} Oversee the daily execution of IT tasks including network modernization, cloud migration, software development, or help desk operations Contract & Financial Tracking{{:}} Monitor task-level budgets, track funding modifications, manage Level of Effort (LOE) hour burn rates, and prevent cost overruns Personnel Management{{:}} Direct, schedule, and evaluate a multidisciplinary team of network engineers, systems administrators, and cybersecurity professionals Client Interface{{:}} Act as the primary interface for government TPOCs, CORs, and military leadership regarding task performance, risks, and scheduling Reporting{{:}} Prepare and deliver weekly status updates, Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs), and eCRAFT labor reporting metrics to senior program leadership Risk & Quality Assurance{{:}} Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and ensure all IT deliverables meet Navy Cyber Mission Force standards Position Summary The Task Manager serves as the primary operational leader for specific Technical Instructions (TIs) and Task Orders under a Navy Information Technology contract.
