Are you an experienced, detail-oriented accountant seeking a dynamic role within a thriving organization? We are looking for a permanent accountant to join our Accounting + Finance team. This position is not for the faint-hearted but for a passionate and dedicated individual ready to take their career to the next level.

You will be a crucial part of our team, managing our financial data and ensuring that our financial operations are accurate and compliant with legal regulations. Your expertise in managing inventory and general ledger will be highly valued.

Responsibilities:

As our permanent accountant, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

1. Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
2. Managing and maintaining our inventory records, ensuring accurate costing and valuation.
3. Preparing accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
4. Conducting regular ledger maintenance.
5. Assisting with the annual audit process including the preparation of audit schedules.
6. Reviewing and improving accounting and financial procedures and policies to improve efficiency.
7. Ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws for financial and tax reporting.
8. Assisting in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
9. Identifying and preventing discrepancies in financial documents and reports.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, you should possess the following:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional knowledge of Excel and accounting software systems.
4. Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices (GAAP).
5. Proficient in inventory management and general ledger.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
