Role Description The Front Desk Staff role is a part-time, on-site position based in Virginia Beach, VA. This role is responsible for greeting guests, checking in members, handling day passes and memberships, and ensuring a positive first impression for everyone entering the facility. Day-to-day tasks include answering phone calls, responding to inquiries in person and via email, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records in the membership and point-of-sale systems. The Front Desk Staff also assists with scheduling classes, orienting new visitors to gym policies and safety guidelines, and coordinating with coaching and operations staff to support daily activities. This position requires consistent professionalism, attention to detail, and a friendly, solutions-focused approach to guest interactions. Qualifications Strong customer service skills, including the ability to welcome guests, address questions, and resolve issues in a professional manner. Receptionist duties experience such as managing check-ins, handling cash and electronic payments, and maintaining organized front desk operations. Phone etiquette and communication skills to answer calls, relay accurate information, and interact clearly with guests and colleagues. Computer literacy with familiarity using email, scheduling tools, and point-of-sale or membership management software. Ability to work on-site in Virginia Beach, VA, including evenings or weekends as needed. Reliable time management, attention to detail, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
