VoIP EngineerWe are looking for a skilled VoIP Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Voice over IP (VoIP) infrastructure. The role involves managing SIP-based communication systems, VoIP gateways, PBX platforms, call routing, and ensuring high availability and quality of voice services.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and maintain VoIP networks and telephony systems.Install, configure, and troubleshoot IP PBX platforms such as Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Cisco CUCM, 3CX, or similar systems.Manage SIP trunks, SIP signaling, RTP media, codecs, and call routing configurations.Perform VoIP troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and SIP monitoring platforms.Monitor voice quality metrics including latency, jitter, packet loss, and MOS scores.Configure and maintain VoIP gateways, Clients (Session Border Controllers), routers, and firewalls.Handle SIP registration, NAT traversal, STUN/TURN, and firewall-related VoIP issues.Implement call flows, IVR, dial plans, extensions, and routing rules.Support VoIP integrations with CRM, contact center, and unified communications platforms.Perform system upgrades, backups, patches, and performance tuning.Document network designs, configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and operational processes.Provide technical support and incident resolution for VoIP-related issues.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.Experience with VoIP protocols including SIP, RTP, SDP, TCP/IP, UDP, and DNS.Strong knowledge of IP networking concepts: VLANs, routing, NAT, DHCP, QoS, and firewalls.Hands-on experience with SIP troubleshooting and call flow analysis.Experience with VoIP platforms such as:Asterisk / FreePBXFreeSWITCHCisco CUCM3CXBroadWorks or similar platformsFamiliarity with Linux servers and command-line troubleshooting.Knowledge of VoIP security practices and fraud prevention.Experience with cloud VoIP deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.Preferred CertificationsCisco CCNA / CCNP CollaborationSIP/VoIP vendor certificationsLinux certificationsNetworking or cloud certificationsSoft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Good communication and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and handle production issues.Willingness to participate in on-call support when required.Experience Level2–5+ years of experience in VoIP engineering, SIP support, or telecom operations.
