Field Building Inspector I - Permits & Plans

Office of the County Engineer

Harris County's Development Services & Permits Division seeks a field inspector to oversee construction compliance and permit-related activities. Outdoor work in all weather, field observations, and coordination with plans are required. The role emphasizes reading drawings, strong written/verbal communication, and organization. A high school diploma or higher is required, with 2 years in engineering-related fields; a Bachelor's/Associate's degree is preferred.
