RN SUPERVISOR:

The RN facility nurse supervisor will work closely with the care team to ensure the quality care of all 16 residents. The RN requires an understanding and commitment to the values of the community and must demonstrate flexibility with residents who have complex behavioral situations and ability to coach and supervise the team of caregivers. The RN is responsible for the med pass, documentation, overseeing resident care and assessing residents to ensure resident care needs are addressed appropriately.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implements service plans in partnership with the MHP as care needs change and assures all staff are informed
• Knowledge of behavioral health and de-escalation techniques
• Oversee caregivers to ensure quality care and tasks are completed on shift
• Complete med pass on shift
• Provide oversight and required documentation for third-party providers for coordination of care.
• Conduct routine MAR audits (NOC shift)
• Follow systems and protocols per facility standards along with state, federal, and industry regulations while remaining compliant. To include but not limited to Infection Control Practices, Assessments, Resident monitoring.
• Becomes familiar with the person-centered service plans for residents
• Assures ancillary care providers communicate their visits and provide necessary documentation of their visit
• Previous experience in long-term care, behavioral health or residential care settings preferred.
• Monitors the medication room to assure organization and cleanliness
• Assists with tracking and recording incident reports. Assures the incident investigations are completed.
• Other tasks as assigned

Other Requirements:

• Must have active RN License and in good standing.
• Proficiency in English
• Receives and maintains CPR certification
• Must possess a current state specific or compact nursing license in WA state
• Must be able to easily lift and carry 50 lbs.
