Chief Financial Officer

Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. ("SBS"), a leading Hispanic media and entertainment company, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the Company's finance organization and serve as a strategic partner to senior management.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the CFO will oversee the Company's financial strategy and operations, including accounting and financial reporting, treasury, budgeting and forecasting, financial planning and analysis, internal controls, audit, tax oversight, and financial systems.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, commercially minded finance executive with strong leadership skills and experience operating in a complex, multi-market organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Company's overall finance and accounting functions.
• Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy, business planning and operational performance.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash management, treasury and working capital.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and maintain strong accounting and internal-control processes.
• Lead financial planning and analysis, including performance reporting, variance analysis and key financial and operating metrics.
• Oversee external audit, tax and other financial compliance matters.
• Provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives, investments and business opportunities.
• Partner with operating leadership to evaluate performance across markets, products and business lines.
• Lead, develop and strengthen the finance organization, promoting accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, reporting, automation and business processes.
• Support corporate finance, banking, capital markets and transactional activities, as appropriate.
• Provide clear and effective financial reporting and analysis to senior management and the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive finance leadership experience, ideally as a CFO, divisional CFO or senior finance executive.
• Strong experience in accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
• Demonstrated experience leading finance functions in a complex, multi-entity or multi-location organization.
• Strong business judgment and ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights.
• Experience working with senior executives, Boards, auditors, banks and other external partners.
• Experience with financial systems, automation and process improvement.
• Media, broadcasting, digital media, advertising, entertainment or related industry experience is preferred.
• Public-company experience is preferred.
• M&A, financing and capital markets experience is a plus.
• CPA and/or advanced degree preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable.
