Lead Capex Project Manager

Job Description Summary The Capital Equipment Excellence team accelerates, with safety, quality, and focus, capacity growth across the Gas Value Stream. The organization consists of three workstreams – Fulfillment, Installation, and Qualification – working together to create Standard Work and Daily Management to enable success. As a Fulfillment Project Manager, you will wear several hats and gain exposure to different aspects of the business. This role involves: Leading project management efforts to support on‑time delivery of Capital Projects to the Gas Value Stream. Working as a project manager to ensure alignment across Fulfillment, Installation, Global Supply Chain, and Engineering workstreams. Essential Functions Use cross‑functional capabilities to support business case approval, technical specification creation, issuance of RFQs and POs, and delivery of Capital Equipment. Coordinate with stakeholders and step owners across business to ensure on‑time delivery of all steps within the Capex Purchasing Process. Attend and facilitate Kaizens and roadmaps to support capacity ramp‑up. Lead effort to ensure Smartsheet schedules are updated and accurate; create and lead development of new schedules for Capital Equipment incorporating sourcing, procurement, installation, and qualification activities. Apply knowledge of manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall scheduling processes and identify/win cost‑out opportunities regionally and globally. Cultivate a positive working environment, drive a sense of urgency and quality, and ensure the team delivers changes that have business impact. Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor’s degree. High level of expertise in project management scheduling software, preferably Smartsheet. Continuous improvement leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Production supervisor experience and manufacturing experience (minimum 2 years). Strong team player with good negotiation skills and ability to build trust with team members and interfacing organizations. Customer‑satisfaction mindset with strong quality orientation and excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a dynamic environment with individuals in global locations. Ability and willingness to challenge the status quo and deliver the best GE products. ERP experience is a plus; AI experience is a plus. This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
