Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist with Lakeland Care Solution, you will work primarily in a home care setting. This unique work environment allows for a personal touch in therapy sessions, offering the chance to evaluate and assist patients in their familiar surroundings. Your work schedule will typically run from Monday to Friday, amounting to a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments, developing tailored treatment programs that align with the physician's plan of care.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions utilizing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities. You will adapt treatments to meet the individual needs of diverse patient populations.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service by ensuring that all interactions with patients and their families are supportive and engaging.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team, collaborating to maximize patient outcomes and streamline care processes.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about their conditions and treatment options, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Meet established utilization goals and actively contribute to other business objectives through dedicated patient care and effective communication.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient demographics you will encounter include individuals across various age groups and needs, from orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation to pediatric and sports medicine therapies. Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the APTA or CAPTE.
• Current State License to practice Physical Therapy in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in utilizing computer systems for patient documentation and scheduling.
• Ability to develop and nurture meaningful relationships with each patient, driving their motivation to achieve therapeutic goals.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly desired, alongside a minimum of two years of clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification is preferred to ensure readiness for any emergency situations that may arise during home visits.
• Experience in a home care setting and familiarity with evidence-based practice methodologies.
