Work Environment

Our outpatient clinic is situated in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, offering an ideal setting for a dynamic and engaging workplace. Operating Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, our team thrives on maintaining an atmosphere of mutual respect and open communication among clinicians, office staff, and patients alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess each patient's physical condition, establishing baselines and goals based on their unique needs.

• Utilize appropriate treatment protocols and methodologies tailored to individual patients, adapting as necessary based on ongoing evaluations and progress.

• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress accurately and timely to ensure seamless communication among the care team and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Initiate and lead discharge planning discussions to facilitate smooth transitions post-therapy, ensuring patients understand their ongoing care requirements.

• Engage with other healthcare professionals for interdisciplinary consultation when there are changes in a patient's condition that may necessitate a shift in treatment plans.

• Maintain all required clinical competence through corporate training while adhering to state, local, and federal regulations.

• Participate in facility meetings and contribute to discussions that influence practice management and patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. You will provide compassionate, individualized care that promotes recovery and equips patients with the tools necessary for sustained health and wellness. Your expertise will help facilitate independence and improve overall functional movement in patients of varying ages and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid Physical Therapy license to practice in the State of Florida is mandatory.

• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association is essential.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient setting, with a strong focus on orthopedics and rehabilitative practices.
