3. Ability to guide the next steps of the IT environment - Research, Strategy, Documentation, Buy In, etc.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design technical solutions and guide the discovery process that align with business objectives.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

• Lead end to end architectural design effort of complex technologies and dependent applications.

• Evangelist and technical evaluation leader of emerging technologies.

• Build comparison matrices to enable management to make well-informed decisions regarding SaaS application acquisition.

• Develop specifications and technical standards for application and system design, coding, backups, storage, databases, APIs, networking, cloud, and more.

• Recommend changes to policy and procedure based upon industry standard best practices and emerging technology development.

• Develop architectural solutions that improve scalability, efficiency, and integration across systems.

• Design and maintain architectural blueprints and documents for all app deployments and systems.

• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to developers and system administrators on best practices in coding, systems architecture, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other technical realms.

• Conduct technical discovery to identify and assess use cases of new products, product capabilities.

• Analyze and identify opportunities to measure and improve performance of APIs.

• Recommend and document industry standard best practice enhancements to remove bottlenecks and defects in systems, apps, and tools.

• Diagram network interconnections to streamline and secure network connections, tunnels, VLANs.

• Consider NIST compliance and security protocols and best practices in all design language.

• Recommend scalable, maintainable, and goal-oriented solutions.

• Design monitoring and measurements to present automated or manual opportunities to resolve defects and bottlenecks in throughput, communication, and operation of systems and applications.

• Design, analyze and conduct proof of concept technical specifications to test delivery, security, and effectiveness of applications.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ypsilanti, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
