Mount Vernon, Ohio is situated approximately one hour north of Columbus in Knox County and offers a range of outdoor recreation and cultural activities. The 250-acre Ariel-Foundation Park features walking trails, scenic lakes, and the Rastin Observation Tower, built on the site of a former industrial facility. The historic downtown Public Square is home to independent shops, local dining, and public art, and a Saturday farmers market runs from May through October, complemented by community events and live performances throughout the year. Clinicians on assignment may also explore the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail and Schnormeier Gardens during time away from clinical duties.

The Emergency Medicine Physician will provide locum tenens clinical coverage during 12-hour day and night shifts in a 17-bed, moderate-acuity emergency department, evaluating and managing a broad range of emergency presentations across all age groups. Clinicians will perform procedures including moderate sedation and will maintain accurate clinical documentation throughout each assigned shift. The department averages approximately 25,000 ED visits annually, supported by an APP coverage model providing 22 NP/PA hours daily.
