In this hands-on role, you’ll leverage your expertise as a Special Education Teacher with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder, delivering both classroom instruction and professional development to fellow educators. Key Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification or in a related field
• Strong background in autism support and evidence-based instructional practices
• Previous experience working in special education within urban school settings
• Proven knowledge of IEPs, BIPs, and behavior management strategies
• Ability to manage K-12 caseloads effectively
• Reliable transportation for daily commute
• Completion of all Pennsylvania clearances required
• Availability between 7:15AM-4PM; schedule cannot be altered
• Comfort working in district settings and adapting to onsite needs

Major Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct training to new staff on instructional methods for students with Autism
• Equip all staff with knowledge of student-specific behavior plans and provide refresher trainings
• Model evidence-based strategies with students and conduct in-vivo classroom coaching
• Facilitate and participate in review of IEPs/BIPs, assessment scheduling, and innovative logistics
• Partner with district specialists to ensure practices align with tiered implementation guidelines
• Be a readily available resource during the start of the school year, supporting staff and administration
• Oversee transfer and fidelity of instructional strategies across various classrooms
• Monitor best-practice implementation and offer corrective feedback as needed
