Description

• Conduct assessments of patients in outpatient or inpatient environments and create personalized treatment strategies
• Deliver physical therapy techniques targeted at enhancing mobility, strength, endurance, and overall function
• Work collaboratively alongside nurses, doctors, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Guide patients and their families through therapeutic milestones, discharge preparations, and home care recommendations
• Record evaluations, therapy sessions, and patient advancements adhering to facility standards and compliance regulations
• Engage in team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions to promote cohesive patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent certification from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification esteemed but optional
• Specializations such as geriatrics or neurology are advantageous but not necessary
