Budget Accountant

Budget Accountant Coordinates budget activities for assigned division(s) and/or unit(s), ensures financial accuracy in the general ledger, billings, and analyzes budget-to-actual variances with supporting explanations. Provides analytical support for budget preparation, monitoring, and collaboration with management to develop budget strategies aligned with organizational goals. Makes recommendations and provides ongoing communication with business Directors and/or Managers to ensure financial aspects are managed according to GAAP, UGMS, Federal UGG, contract and/or grant terms as appropriate. Qualifications Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Defined Education: Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Preferences: None. Substitutions: 4 years of work experience in a similar role or field can be substituted for the education requirements. Years’ Experience: Three (3) years. Defined Experience: Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field in Government, Community Center or Healthcare. License/Certifications: Valid Texas Driver’s License. Special Courses: None.
