Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal through adult patients per physician orders, including ventilator management on devices such as Puritan Bennett 980/840 and LTV1200.
- Administer prescribed therapies (nebulized medications, CPT, aerosol treatments) and monitor patient response; perform ABG collection and interpretation as needed.
- Document all care in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and participate in daily rounds with the multidisciplinary team.
- Respond to respiratory distress, facilitate weaning and escalation of therapy as directed; participate in nursery and ER coverage as needed.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and department policy; maintain equipment readiness and perform routine ventilator checks.


Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapy license in New York; license on file at time of submission.
- Minimum 2 years of RT experience; 2 years of experience in the specialty.
- Neonatal/pediatric exposure; NRP required or demonstrated familiarity.
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years required.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP; NBRC Verification.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with department rotation; willingness to float to nursery and ER as needed.
