Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations using standardized assessments and observational techniques for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Design individualized treatment plans tailored to address both short-term and long-term goals for communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy that encompasses voice, fluency, language, and swallowing enhancement.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational and physical therapists, caregivers, and physicians, to forge comprehensive care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and their families, fostering understanding and progress beyond the therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain seamless care throughout the treatment spectrum.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely while adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay at the forefront of the field by engaging in continuing education and collaborative learning opportunities.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting the position.
