Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess clinical status regularly.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans.
• Provide patient education and support to promote understanding and wellness.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control practices.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in North Dakota or a valid compact RN license.
• Obtain BLS certification prior to start date.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Possess strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Have proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule, including two out of four weekends and floating shifts.
