Description: Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Network Engineer 1 to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network environments. This role focuses on building and securing network infrastructure, supporting system architecture, and ensuring reliable performance across datacenter and enterprise systems.The ideal candidate will work hands-on with network hardware and security technologies while contributing to network design, troubleshooting, and ongoing operational support in complex environments.Key Responsibilities: Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of network architecture across LAN and datacenter environmentsInstall, configure, and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancersMonitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues as neededImplement and maintain secure network configurations, including VPNs and access controlsWork with TCP/IP protocols, routing, and switching to ensure optimal network functionalitySupport firewall configurations and enforce network security boundariesPerform packet analysis and assist with troubleshooting network traffic issuesMaintain documentation and track work using ticketing systemsSupport virtualization environments, including VMware and container-based solutionsParticipate in on-call support and live operational environmentsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related fieldTwo (2) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degreeMinimum 3 years of experience in network engineering, including LAN design, architecture, and securityDoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent)Experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC VPNsRequirements: U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants.
