Job DescriptionJob Summary:The Operational Loss Scenario Analyst supports the Bank's operational risk management program by assisting in the development, analysis, documentation, and reporting of operational loss scenarios. The role is responsible for analyzing operational loss data, supporting scenario workshops, evaluating risk exposures, and producing reports that help management understand potential operational risk impacts.Working under the guidance of Operational Risk Management leadership, the analyst partners with business units, risk management teams, and subject matter experts to assess severe-but-plausible operational risk events and support enterprise risk management, stress testing, and governance activities.Key ResponsibilitiesScenario Analysis SupportAssist in the development and documentation of operational risk scenarios.Support scenario workshops by gathering data, preparing materials, and documenting outcomes.Research internal and external operational risk events to support scenario development.Maintain scenario inventories, supporting documentation, and working papers.Ensure scenario documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with established methodologies.Operational Loss AnalysisAnalyze operational loss events and loss trends across business lines.Compile and validate operational loss data from internal systems and repositories.Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify loss drivers, emerging risks, and areas of concentration.Assist with estimating potential financial impacts associated with operational risk scenarios.Support the collection and reconciliation of historical loss information.Risk Assessment and ReportingPrepare routine operational risk and scenario analysis reports.Develop dashboards, metrics, and presentations for management committees and risk governance forums.Summarize analysis results, assumptions, and key findings for stakeholders.Support operational risk assessments by providing data and analytical insights.Assist in identifying low-frequency, high-severity operational risk exposures.Governance and DocumentationMaintain records of scenario assumptions, methodologies, and supporting evidence.Assist with management challenge sessions and documentation of feedback.Support preparation of materials for risk committees, internal audit, and regulatory examinations.Ensure compliance with operational risk policies, procedures, and governance standards.Track action items arising from scenario reviews and challenge sessions.Stress Testing and Risk Monitoring SupportAssist in the analysis of operational risk scenarios used in enterprise stress testing activities.Support assessment of risks related to:Fraud eventsCybersecurity incidentsTechnology disruptionsThird-party failuresProcess breakdownsRegulatory and compliance eventsMonitor emerging risk information and industry developments relevant to operational risk.The information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
