Human Resources Manager

Salary Up to $73,000 / year Overview Elderwood at Hamburg is seeking a Human Resource Manager (HRM) to join our team. The ideal candidate is an experienced HR Professional with strong problem solving & communication skills who can quickly learn our HRIS and talent management systems. The Human Resources Manager supports all business operations by managing the organization's HR administration and execution. The position is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, payroll and general HR activities for the site. A Recruiting Coordinator assists with critical recruitment functions. Core Competencies Problem Solving Customer Service Decision Making Excellent Communication Responsibilities Recruitment Sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates through the Applicant Tracking System Submitting the weekly open positions report accurately and on time Marketing the facility through recruitment events, open interviews, and job fairs Managing the internal posting process and facilitating facility-to-facility transfers Promoting the Employee Referral Program and tracking referral program activity and payout of referral bonuses Onboarding & Training Orienting new hires and completing new hire paperwork, ensuring regulatory requirements are met Scheduling new hires for General Orientation and delivering the HR training component Administrative Obtaining regulatory documentation for licensed and certified personnel at hire and annually thereafter Coordinating new hire physicals and obtaining required medical documentation Documenting personnel actions and maintaining staff records per regulatory requirements and company policy Initiating probationary and annual performance evaluation processes Administering 30‑Day New Hire Surveys & Exit Interviews per company policy Completing wage verification forms for social service agencies, insurance, and mortgage companies Ordering name badges, business cards, and computer access as needed Processing employee terminations and maintaining staff roster in databases Coordinating uniform benefit allowance and fitting under the allowance program Payroll & Benefit Administration Distributing benefits package information and monitoring enrollment completion Entering employee data accurately and maintaining it in ADP HRIS Reviewing timecards for accuracy and approvals Running various ADP reports Assisting employees with benefit and payroll inquiries Interpreting policies and communicating benefit details to staff Providing benefit documentation upon termination Coordinating all employee activities as directed by executive staff Tracking leave of absence paperwork and maintaining compliance with FMLA and other leaves Unemployment & Workers Compensation Responding to unemployment insurance claims in a timely manner Reporting termination data to payroll within one pay period Representing the company in UI and WC hearings when necessary Participating in the facility Safety Committee Submitting information for unemployment, workers compensation, and disability claims; maintaining OSHA 300 log Employee Relations Addressing employee concerns and determining when to involve Administrator or EAS HR Ensuring consistent application of policy and disciplinary actions Maintaining a disciplinary log Driving facility recognition and retention programs Supporting performance management systems and employee development Monitoring company culture and promoting employee satisfaction and retention Planning and executing company events and meetings to encourage team bonding and learning General Applying knowledge of all policies and procedures and serving as a resource for staff Overseeing all HR initiatives, strategies, systems, and tactics Exhibiting high customer service toward staff and visitors Responding flexibly to changing situations Providing HR counsel, mediation, workshops, and best practices Developing, writing, updating, communicating, and enforcing company policies Maintaining LMS, ATS, and HRIS Arriving to work on time and following the dress code Adhering to electronic device policies Supporting the organization’s mission, vision, and values Abiding by the business code of conduct, compliance, and HIPAA policies Performing other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (PHR preferred) Minimum of five years in a Human Resources management role Knowledge of state and federal labor laws, FMLA, OSHA, and COBRA Recruitment and onboarding experience Prior payroll and benefits experience strongly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office; highly organized and detail‑oriented Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment Self‑management and autonomous work capability Skills / Competencies Problem Solving Customer Service Decision Making Excellent Communication English language proficiency at an intermediate or higher level EOE Statement WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
