About the Role
The Company is in search of a Head of Engineering to provide technical leadership, manage people, and offer strategic oversight to ensure the development and delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure software products. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the engineering strategy in line with the company's goals and product vision. This role involves leading, mentoring, and developing engineering managers and technical teams, driving the execution of engineering initiatives, and overseeing technical architecture to guide decisions on scalability, reliability, performance, and security. The Head of Engineering will also be tasked with establishing and maintaining engineering best practices, development processes, and operational standards, as well as building and scaling engineering teams through effective hiring, coaching, and career development. Applicants for the Head of Engineering position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of leadership in managing engineering teams and technical projects. A strong understanding of software development methodologies, system architecture, cloud technologies, and modern engineering practices is essential. The role requires experience in managing engineering roadmaps, delivery timelines, and cross-functional initiatives, as well as a demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, and a technical background that allows for effective participation in architecture, product, and engineering discussions. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is also a necessary qualification.
