As the Manager of Manufacturing Operations 2, your team will oversee and manage the manufacturing and operational aspects of multiple manufacturing, production, and prototyping at the Ogden Manufacturing Facility (OMF)in Ogden, Utah. Your team will be responsible for the safety of the employees, delivering quality products on time and within customer cost targets while maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.The ideal candidate should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing foundational processes, encompassing knowledge of shop floor processes and best practices (FOD/FOE control, ESD practices, 5S, Tool & Property control etc.), efficient material flow, product life cycle management, cost center structuring, manufacturing execution systems (MES) knowledge, product configuration management, traceability and government approval procedures for sell-off.In addition, the candidate will provide the people, skills, processes & training for successful achievement of program and division goals in the manufacturing and production environment. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. You’ll Bring These Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience, master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience, or 4 years of relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.2+ years of relevant experience in engineering or manufacturing.1+ years of experience leading manufacturing, production, or manufacturing integration.Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain an interim Secret Security level clearance pre-start, with the ability to obtain a final Secret Security level clearance post-start.Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.Preferred Qualifications:1+ years of experience managing or leading people or projects.Experience leading manufacturing/production/integration & test teams in a production environment.A proven track record of developing and implementing strategies for change.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of Manufacturing, Program, Engineering, Functional Support Management, and ProfessionalsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Prior experience operating in a dynamic environment of increasing production schedules and high delivery rates.Aerospace / ICBM Industry Experience.Prior experience it program start-up.Experience working with Systems Applications and Products (SAP).Knowledge of Manufacturing Management Plan requirements and transitioning to production.Prior experience interfacing with prime contractor site leads and USAF leadership personnel.Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal.Ability to effectively work within a team environment.Active DoD Secret clearance and applicable SAP accesses.Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
