Senior Data Analyst & Reporting Specialist

Support MIT Sloan External Relations by turning fundraising data into reliable reporting, analysis, and process improvements. Responsibilities Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, datasets, and analytical outputs for annual giving performance, including donor behavior analysis and segmentation Enable campaign execution visibility, portfolio and pipeline reporting, and related management reporting Interpret fundraising data to identify trends and opportunities and improve reporting practices Help maintain business definitions and support process consistency across reporting Contribute to development-focused projects Partner with OER colleagues and central Advancement teams to deliver accurate, reliable decision support and strengthen broader development analytics over time Requirements Bachelor’s degree Minimum 7 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence Strong SQL Experience analyzing complex datasets Ability to troubleshoot discrepancies and ensure reporting accuracy Translate business needs into analytical outputs and process improvements Experience producing recurring and ad hoc reports Strong communication, judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities Preferred: experience in higher education, advancement, nonprofit fundraising, or a CRM-driven environment Preferred: experience with fundraising systems such as Advance , Salesforce , or Blackbaud (or similar) Preferred: familiarity with donor segmentation, campaign analysis, portfolio reporting, pipeline analysis, or revenue forecasting Reporting and Visualization Tools Tableau Cognos Salesforce CRM Analytics Power BI Similar reporting and visualization platforms Technologies SQL Tableau Cognos Salesforce CRM Analytics Power BI Salesforce Advance Blackbaud Location: Cambridge, MA (hybrid) Compensation: USD 104,400 - 140,600 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr DataJobs
