Network Engineer - MSP

If you are interested, get in touch today. Key Responsibilities Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco networking devices (switches, routers, and wireless solutions). Implement and maintain Fortinet firewalls and security appliances. Perform regular network health checks and optimize performance. Install, configure, and manage Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy. Perform patch management, upgrades, and backups. Manage and maintain virtualized environments, including VMware or Hyper‑V. Deploy and troubleshoot virtual machines and related services. Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients, ensuring SLAs are met. Collaborate with clients to design and implement IT infrastructure improvements. Maintain documentation for client environments and project work. Respond to escalations and provide Tier 2/3 support for complex issues. Monitor and manage security policies and configurations. Ensure compliance with industry standards and client-specific requirements. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in an MSP or similar IT environment. Hands‑on experience with Cisco networking (certifications such as CCNA or CCNP preferred). Proficiency with Fortinet products (e.g., FortiGate firewalls; NSE certification is a plus). Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper‑V). Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols. Preferred Exposure to cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure or AWS. Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.). Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. Skills & Competencies Analytical thinker with strong troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with clients and colleagues. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple client needs in a high-demand environment.
