Senior Specialist, Sustainability Advisory & LCA

Are you an experienced LCA expert ready to influence real business decisions and accelerate decarbonisation both for Faerch and for our customers? At Faerch, you will step into a senior advisory role, where your insights directly shape product design, commercial strategy, and sustainability leadership. At Faerch, we are a leading supplier of circular, rigid food packaging with our own recycling facility to close the loop in rigid food packaging. Our priority is sustainability leadership and you will play a key role in documenting the environmental benefits of high recycled content and circularity to external stakeholders but also contribute to develop new business cases both on product level, site level and in strategic partnerships to enable we reach our sustainability targets, consolidating Faerchs position as a sustainability leader towards customers, regulators, and other stakeholders. Your role As a Senior Specialist, Sustainability Advisory & Life Cycle Assessment, you will act as a trusted advisor to the business, customers and other stakeholders, translating complex environmental data into clear, actionable insights. You will be responsible for the following: Build and continuously develop Faerch’s carbon footprint model across the product portfolio Lead and execute high-quality Life Cycle Assessments on key products, our own circular raw material (CIRPET+), and strategic initiatives Develop tools, models, and documentation that support decision‑making across commercial and operational teams Provide insights on environmental impacts to guide product innovation and business strategy Support the organisation in achieving its SBTi and circularity goals Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate sustainability value and impact with specific focus on customers. We imagine that you come with some of the following experience: Academic background in Environmental Science/Technology or a related field focusing on packaging, materials/plastic recycling and circularity Minimum 3 years' work experience in environmental sustainability including LCA, ecodesign, decarbonisation and circular economy and used to drive projects independently across commercial stakeholders Strong experience conducting and reviewing LCAs, utilizing advanced LCA tools like Sphera Professional software is a plus. A track record in complex LCAs for the manufacturing/packaging industry is an advantage. Location / On‑site expectations This role requires regular on‑site presence and close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders. Therefore, we are prioritizing candidates who are based within reasonable commuting distance of a Faerch site location.
