Job Description: The Job Developer promotes competitive integrated employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by building relationships with local employers, identifying employment opportunities, and supporting individuals throughout the job placement process. This position collaborates closely with the Meaningful Day Services team, employers, families, and community partners to help individuals achieve meaningful employment outcomes and greater independence. Develop and promote competitive integrated employment opportunities by identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with prospective employers. Conduct employer outreach through networking, workforce development initiatives, job fairs, chambers of commerce, cold calling, and community engagement activities. Educate employers on the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities and demonstrate the value they bring to the workforce. Facilitate the Discovery Process to assess individual strengths, interests, and support needs to guide successful job placement. Assist individuals with workplace training curriculum and employment readiness activities. Develop and implement workplace support plans that encourage natural supports and long-term employment success. Provide mentoring, training, and support to both individuals and employers during job placement and onboarding. Monitor employment placements, identify workplace challenges, and collaborate with employers and individuals to implement effective solutions. Maintain accurate documentation, including employer contacts, progress notes, outcomes data, and required records for DORS, DDA, and agency requirements. Collaborate with the Job Development and Meaningful Day Services teams to coordinate employment opportunities and support services. Conduct follow-up services to evaluate employment outcomes and satisfaction. Represent Benedictine professionally with employers, families, job seekers, and community stakeholders. Attend required trainings and maintain certifications necessary to perform job responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Must possess a High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a related field preferred. Must have at least two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Must be eligible to obtain ACRE certification and become a Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) within one year of employment. Must possess excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments. Must be willing to work flexible hours when necessary to meet the needs of individuals and employers. Must be a minimum of 21 years old. Must provide proof of authorization to work in the U.S. Must pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background checks (CJIS/Family Law Article 5-561), and CPS clearance. Must possess a valid driver\'s license in good standing and meet insurability requirements. Must be able to perform Safety-Care physical interventions, except for approved temporary or minimal restrictions authorized by the Behavior Department.
