Risk Management Leader-ITC

Job Description Summary The Risk Management Leader – International Trade Compliance is responsible for the development and execution of an ITC risk management framework and for providing an integrated, forward-looking view of trade compliance risk across the company. Reporting to the newly established Senior Director – Programs & Operations Leader, ITC, this role partners closely with the Central Compliance organization, and defines the methodology, governance, analytics, and reporting used to identify, assess, prioritize, monitor, escalate, and mitigate ITC risk.
This role provides leadership with visibility into where the most significant compliance risks exist, whether mitigation actions are reducing risk, and where additional action may be required.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the enterprise ITC risk management framework, methodology, and governance model; work with Compliance Enterprise Risk Management team and serve as focal for ITC risk.
• Integrate insights from the State Department Consent Agreement, ITC investigations, audits, Site Compliance Reviews, ITC monitoring activities, and other inputs into the enterprise ITC risk profile.
• Monitor corrective actions from investigations and disclosures, audits and other assessments to ensure completion and effective deployment
• In collaboration with ITC leadership, conduct assessments to check mitigation effectiveness and provide visibility into whether risk is being reduced to acceptable levels.
• Partner with ITC leadership to inform priorities, remediation actions, and control improvements.
• Establish consistent approaches for identifying, assessing, prioritizing, monitoring, escalating, and reporting ITC risk, including risks to business and operations from licensing challenges, across businesses, functions, and geographies.
• Lead enterprise ITC risk assessments and maintain an integrated view of trade compliance risk.
• Define risk criteria, thresholds, key risk indicators, and escalation mechanisms that enable consistent risk-based decision-making.
• Identify emerging and changing risks resulting from regulatory developments, business activity, customer requirements, products, and geographic footprint.
• Establish dashboards and reporting that provide leaders with actionable visibility into significant risks, trends, mitigation progress, and emerging concerns.
• Partner with the Digital Tools Leader to strengthen risk data, analytics, and reporting capabilities, including ITC risk dashboards.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 12 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 14 years of professional experience

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in international trade compliance, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, internal controls, audit or a related discipline

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  

Desired Characteristics

• Strong knowledge of international trade compliance and the regulatory environment applicable to global aerospace and defense organization.

• Demonstrated experience building or leading risk management, controls, monitoring, or compliance assessment programs.

• Ability to synthesize complex quantitative and qualitative information into actionable risk insights for senior leaders, enabling clear decisions, prioritization, and timely escalation where needed.
• Strong understanding of risk management methodologies, controls, governance, and compliance monitoring.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and executive communication capabilities, with the ability to simplify complexity, communicate with clarity, and drive informed action.
• Ability to distinguish localized issues from systemic enterprise risk, connect themes across multiple inputs, and proactively identify broader patterns, implications, and mitigation opportunities.

The base pay range for this position is $181,000 - $241,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on October 25th, 2026.
