Floor Technician (2:00pm - 10:00pm)

Job Details Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Set Pay Rate: $21.16 Schedule: Monday - Friday Responsibilities Comply with all Agency policies, procedures, and contract specifications. Adhere to uniform dress code and personal hygiene standards. Clean all assigned areas according to contract specifications: sweep, dust mop, damp mop floors; use wet vacs and vacuums for carpets and tile; detail corners and edges. Empty and clean cleaning machines after use; move furniture/equipment to gain access to floors. Mix and measure chemicals; prepare, use, and care for equipment. Perform preventative maintenance checks on equipment before and after use; follow all safety rules and procedures when using any equipment. Strip, seal, wax, burnish, & buff floors; clean carpets as required. Operate low‑speed and high‑speed rotary floor machines, ride‑on floor machines, scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, strippers, and extractors; use carpet extractors and spotters. Remove trash in specific areas when required. Pass and comply with all building and security requirements and procedures. Assist with inventory and other general custodial duties as needed. Keep records and provide requested reports. Perform other duties and tasks as needed. Physical Requirements Stand or walk continuously for long periods of time. Navigate stairs. Reach above head, bend, kneel, stoop. Operate controls. Lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs regularly and 75–100 lbs with assistance. Work in dusty spaces or adverse weather conditions. Complete tasks in a timely manner. Attend work regularly according to assigned schedule and company policies. Work flexible schedule as required. Attend and participate in training and meetings. Deal with others in a positive, enthusiastic, respectful, and courteous manner. Comply with all building, security, and company policies and procedures. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent (preferred). Floor Technician training (desired). Knowledge of floor finishes, applications, and removals. Knowledge of floor care equipment. Six months of Floor Technician experience (preferred). Six months of Custodial experience. Candidates with disabilities preferred. Essential Personnel This position is designated as essential.
