Check out our job openings, and we look forward to working with you.Summary/ObjectiveThe PLC Programmer creates logic code for programmable devices, assembles and installs electrical control panel assemblies as well as device wiring and Point to Point.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Must be able to create and edit programming code for programmable logic controllers.HMI programming and interfacing with multiple controllers.Capable of reading component documentation to create device programming, VFD’s, Temperature Controllers, etc.Interface with customers over the phone and on-site to troubleshoot system problems or to create logic to interface equipment to process.Using electric or air powered tools to drill, grind, etc. as required to fit parts together to form a finished final assembly.Position component parts according to material and blueprint lists.Wire lugs are crimped on the end of the wire and are done with manual crimpers and strippers.Wire looms need to be neat, and wiring must be accurate.Point to Point wiring diagrams are used to install all wiring. Routing of wire from one point to the other is a task requiring the ability to plan to avoid rewiring.Focuses on quality, customer service, safety, productivity.Able to read blueprints, familiar with electrical codes, and use a multimeter to test control panels.OGI has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill.”) effective August 29th, 2019.CompetenciesTechnical Capacity.Problem Solving/Analysis.Thoroughness.Supervisor ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentNon-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Occasionally visit customer sites to evaluate projects, which may require moving above, below, over, and around stationary objects. Some sites may have space limitations which may make movement while installing, adjusting, or repairing equipment and parts difficult. These customer sites may potentially be hot, cold, or loud.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position.
