  POSITION SUMMARY

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the company’s outgoing finances. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions, supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

? Adhere to and promote the company policies, safety standards, and Mission Statement of Veranda Homes.

? Represent the company professionally in all internal and external interactions and communications.

? Review, code, and enter high volume weekly accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

? Verify and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.

? Research discrepancies and resolve issues both internally and externally in a timely manner.

? Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation in all accounts payable areas including required vendor documents, ensure adherence to internal controls, and compliance with financial regulations and standards.

? Prepare and process outgoing payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.

? Prepare and distribute accounts payable reports and analyses for management review.

? Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities and reconciliations related to accounts payable, as well as year-end 1099 reporting.

? Process and manage lot specific expenses, specifically all utility transactions daily and real estate property tax transactions annually.

? Review and process corporate credit card transactions and employee expense reports for policy compliance.

  QUALIFICATIONS

? Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

? 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.

? Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

? Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
