Communicate any delays in appointments to patients at time of roomingComplete pre-visit requirements including reconciliation of medical lists, collecting vitals and lab collection. Update patient records in the EMR in time for physician visitDraw blood from patients and deliver specimen to in house labWork collaboratively with the Medical Receptionist team to ensure Physician schedule is utilized appropriatelyMonitor Physician inbox in EMR for messages, respond appropriately according to Physician workflowParticipates in department meetings and in-service training as requiredCover the front desk as neededOther duties as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNone.ExperienceMedical Assistant Certification preferred but not requiredHigh School diploma requiredAt least two years of experience working in a medical office with similar volume. Previous experience working in a Hematology and Oncology Office preferredPrevious experience working with an Electronic Medical Record system required
