Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

AsanIndustrialManufacturingEngineeratourTier-1Automotivesupplier,youwillplayapivotalroleinensuringtheefficiency,quality,andreliabilityofourmanufacturingprocesses.Youwillcollaboratecloselywithcross-functionalteamstodrivecontinuousimprovement,optimizeproductionworkflows,andimplementbestpracticesinautomotivemanufacturing.

KeyResponsibilities:

ProcessOptimization: Evaluateexistingmanufacturingprocessesandidentifyopportunitiesforimprovementinefficiency,productivity,andcost-effectiveness.Developandimplementinnovativesolutionstoenhancemanufacturingperformancewhilemaintainingproductqualitystandards.
ProductionPlanningandScheduling: Collaboratewithproductionplanningteamstodevelopandoptimizeproductionschedules,ensuringoptimalutilizationofresourcesandadherencetocustomerdemand.Implementstrategiestominimizeleadtimes,reduceinventorylevels,andimproveon-timedeliveryperformance.
NewProductIntroduction(NPI): Leadthemanufacturingengineeringactivitiesfornewproductintroductions,collaboratingwithproductdesignteamstoensuremanufacturabilityandscalability.Developmanufacturingprocesses,tooling,andfixturestosupportthesuccessfullaunchofnewproductsintoproduction.
LeanManufacturingInitiatives: Driveleanmanufacturinginitiativestoeliminatewaste,reducevariability,andimproveoverallefficiencyinmanufacturingoperations.Implementleantoolsandmethodologiessuchas5S,valuestreammapping,andkaizeneventstodrivecontinuousimprovementandachieveoperationalexcellence.
QualityAssurance: Collaboratewithqualityassuranceteamstoimplementrobustqualitycontrolmeasuresandensurecompliancewithautomotiveindustrystandardsandcustomerrequirements.Developandimplementprocesscontrols,inspectionprocedures,anderror-proofingtechniquestopreventdefectsandnon-conformities.
SupplyChainOptimization: Workcloselywithsupplychainteamstooptimizesupplierrelationships,improvematerialflow,andreduceleadtimes.Identifyopportunitiesforsupplierconsolidation,costreduction,andinventorymanagementoptimizationtoenhancesupplychainefficiencyandresilience.
EquipmentandToolingDesign: Collaboratewithequipmentandtoolingsupplierstodesign,develop,andimplementmanufacturingequipmentandtoolingsolutions.Ensurethatequipmentandtoolingdesignsmeetperformancerequirements,safetystandards,andregulatorycompliance.
Cross-functionalCollaboration: Collaboratewithcross-functionalteamsincludingproduction,engineering,quality,andsupplychaintoresolvemanufacturingissues,addressrootcauses,anddrivecontinuousimprovementinitiatives.Fosteracultureofcollaboration,teamwork,andopencommunicationacrossdepartments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor'sdegreeinIndustrialEngineering,MechanicalEngineering,orrelatedfield(Master'sdegreepreferred)
yearsofexperienceinindustrialmanufacturingengineeringroleswithintheautomotiveindustry,preferablyinaTier-1supplierenvironment
Strongknowledgeofautomotivemanufacturingprocesses,includingstamping,welding,assembly,andpainting
Proficiencyinleanmanufacturingprinciplesandmethodologies,withexperienceimplementingleantoolsandtechniques
ExperiencewithCAD/CAMsoftwarefortoolingandfixturedesign(e.g.,AutoCAD,SolidWorks)
Knowledgeofqualitymanagementsystemsandautomotiveindustrystandards(e.g.,ISO/TS16949)
Excellentproblem-solvingskillswiththeabilitytoanalyzecomplexmanufacturingissuesanddevelopeffectivesolutions
Strongprojectmanagementskillswiththeabilitytomanagemultipleprojectssimultaneouslyanddeliverresultsontimeandwithinbudget
Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonalskillswiththeabilitytocollaborateeffectivelywithcross-functionalteamsandexternalpartners
