Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026 (additional start dates available: October 26, November 9)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), weekend rotation and holidays as needed. Assignment length: 13-17 weeks available.

• 28-bed General Surgery unit specializing in complex abdominal surgeries including colorectal, surgical oncology, and emergency general surgeries
• Patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts with 20 hours of comprehensive orientation
• Epic charting system with modern technology including Alaria smart pumps and Omnicell medication cabinets
• Magnet-designated facility ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital and recognized nationally as a leading teaching and referral center
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and social services
• Opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills in post-operative care including wound VACs, ostomy management, epidural analgesia, and TPN administration

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience within the last 3 years
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria applies)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 4:1 patient ratios
• Community hospital, LTAC, or Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, central line management, and wound care
• Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
